The following businesses and organisations have been invaluable. A huge thank you to each and every one for helping me towards my goals.

Hammer Nutrition provides the right fuel for training and events. With a huge selection of gel sachets, long lasting 'Perp', recovery supplements, and even clothing, the online store is your best bet if you are looking at fuelling smarter. I've been supported by Hammer since 2008, and during that time I've participated in the Taupo Enduro (320kms), Taupo Maxi Enduro (640kms), the New Zealand Ironman, 4 editions of the Graperide Ultimate (505kms), and a 24 hour National cycling record - Fuelling has never been a limiter for me during any of these events.

Skins offer the best compression sports wear on the market - The competition simply refer to compression wear as "Skins", and everyone else is fitting it out for second place.

Endurance sports are all about recovery, and Skins offer the best money can buy.

In a very competitive market place, Bolle are recognised as a company that sell quality eye wear at affordable prices.  What you see shapes the world around you, and descending a hill at 80kph means only wanting the very best eye wear so you can see what is coming at you very quickly.

Accept nothing but the best - I wear Bolle.

Grylls & Keleher Optometrists are situated in Ihakara Street in Paraparaumu.  Kapiti residents should count themselves lucky to have a dedicated and professional team such as ‘Grylls’ locally.  Open six days a week, (including late night Thursday), the store provides services including; spectacle frames, eye conditions, contact lenses, sunglasses, dive masks, swimming goggles, and even children's vision.

With no fewer than four optometrists available for eye testing, you get professional eye care in a timely and professional manner.  (They are awesome to deal with too).

Based in both the Wellington CBD and Paraparaumu, On Yer Bike are a one-stop-shop for all of your bike needs. Apart from bike sales, repairs, bike fits, and bike maintenance sessions, the store also rents bikes and best of all provides you with information to help you go on your way towards your biking goals. Having supported me since 2008, On Yer Bike have been a pleasure to deal with, and I've always received professional support.

Southend Cycles (Levin) have been a great help. For the 24 hour National Record ride in April 2012 the store kindly provided wheels (and spare wheels) for the race, and I was given full access to any equipment that may be needed at short notice. A special thanks to Brian Gilbert (owner) and Paul Rawlinson (crew chief).

Tim Neal (AKA "The Potato Guy") runs an ace business that sells hot potatos filled with all kinds of goodness. Tim is also an endurance cyclist, (and a friend), and kindly offered to cover the costs of overnight lighting at the Levin velodrome. This is a very kind gesture, and is gratefully received. (If you ever want a shock - Check out what it costs to light up a sporting venue for 11 hours!!). Thanks Tim.

The Levin Cycling Club has been very flexible about my use of the velodrome. Specifically, the club wavered it's preexisting booking for Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday to ensure I'd get a block of 6 dates for the 24 hour ride. Thank you very much for allowing me to make use of your track for training rides, and thanks also for full access to the track and your club rooms for the 24 hour ride. I wish all members every success at future events. Ride safe one and all.
